PRIORITIES CAN LEED TO PROSPERITY

We like to focus on ourselves, nice homes, cars, clothes, food and fun. I know i do, i mean i like food, nice clothes and fun, who doesn't? Is there anything wrong with that? It depends! GOD sent the prophet Haggai to warn the people against building fancy houses and always wanting more at the expense of His house 'remaining in ruins'. Haggai 1:4 says "Is it a time for you yourselves to be living in your paneled houses, while This house remains a ruin?" Haggai 1:6 talks about planting much but harvesting little, eating but not getting full, you never have enough drink and your wages fall through the holes in your purse! Let me spell this out for you...GOD says if you focus on yourself at my expense your efforts will never be enough! What little bit our effort provides GOD will blow away.(HAG1:9) You will be left wanting more! While our efforts seem to be focused on pleasing ourselves GOD wants us to focus on Honoring and pleasing Him. GOD says if you will build my house so that i may take pleasure in it and be Honored then i will provide enthusiasm(HAG 1:14),give you strength(HAG 2:4), remove fear(HAG 2:5), provide resources(HAG 2:8), his presence and peace will be granted(HAG 2:9), and prosperity(HAG 2:19). When we're obedient to GOD and our priorities are focused on HIM that will leed to His presence, peace and prosperity! I want some of that!

i am who i am

just a short thought...i am who i am in spite of what you think. how you see me won't change who i am. whether you like me or not has nothing to do with me being a good person. the sooner we learn this the sooner we can quit pretending to be someone else and just be ourselves!

Apply the Brakes

Sometimes ya gotta ease into the brakes and sometimes ya gotta stomp on em!! Other times ya gotta do a little of both! I'm talking about the brakes of life. Life goes by like a passing freight in the dessert and that's on slow days other times it's like a fighter jet. Ya gotta make time, even schedule it if need be, for relationships. Just remember, good friends don't just happen they require time!

He was

He was only a Babe, Gods only Son, who came to show us the way.
He was only a Man sent to teach and to heal, but was villified in his day.
It was only a Cross symbolizing the loss of what the world had gained.
Its only a Tomb with an empty room to show that he lives again.
Its only a thought but perhaps we ought to do as he has taught and do what he would do.
The choice is up to you!

The Real Truth

I you want the real truth you need to look to the one known as The 'TRUTH'! John 14:6 Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me. If you want to know what the truth is check out the bible!

to be or not to be.....honest (part 2)

What is the basis for our belief of honesty and truth. Do we even have a foundation to lean on or do we just go with the majority. In other words 'Well everybody does it this way(mix some lies and truth) so that makes it OK'. Let try this...Somebody owes you some money but you're not sure they're going to pay you back is it OK to deceive them to get them to pay you back? I don't think circumstances or other people's opinion should determine your stance on honesty or truth! I'm not saying telling the truth or being honest, according to Ol' man Webster, will be easy or painless but it is always the right thing to do!

to be or not to be.....honest

Just what is honesty? Is it the same today as it was 20 or 40 years ago? What about truth? Ol' man Webster says this about honesty...2 a: fairness and straightforwardness of conduct b: adherence to the facts. Honesty implies a refusal to lie, steal, or deceive in any way. Ol' man Webster says this about truth...3 a: the property (as of a statement) of being in accord with fact or reality. In truth as in accordance with fact. Does it matter if we mix some lies in with some truth as long as the truth outweighs the lies? How many lies can we mix and still claim the truth? If you are being treated unfair is OK to do the same? A lot of people I know believe it's OK to mix some truth and lies with some fairness and claim it as fact. Their reasoning... everybody does it!
